Post-Secondary Scholarships

The Indigenous Parents Community was founded by an Indigenous parent who saw an opportunity to help Indigenous parents who may desire a post-secondary education but need financial support to make their dream a reality. We have compiled a list of external awards here in Winnipeg that are aimed at Indigenous students.

ATCO Indigenous Education Bursary | Deadline: August 15, 2022

Canadian Indigenous person, attending an accredited post-secondary program, not an ATCO employee or child of one.

Canada Post Awards for Indigenous Students | Deadline: August 31, 2022

For students who were away from school for a year and have returned to school.

BluEarth Renewables Indigenous Scholarship | Deadline: September 15, 2022

For indigenous students who have proof of status and can relate to the renewable energy sector with their studies.

Indigenous Skills and Education Training Program | Open Year-Round

Presented by Native Women’s Association of Canada: Post-secondary funding for certificate or diploma programs, last two years of the program, Indigenous women, transgender, two-spirit, and gender diverse individuals, 15 years and older, at risk of unemployment.
